Plus size women's clothing...

Society calls plus size women anything from "large women" to just plain old obese.  Tyra Banks calls us "fiercely real."  The fact is, we are women, first and foremost, and we are not second-class citizens.  Why do we allow ourselves to dress like we are?

My grandmother used to refer to large-sized clothing as coming from Omar the Tentmaker.  I never really knew what that meant until I needed plus sized clothing myself.  So many stores only carry basic shirts and pants in the plus size section...or the tunics, the dreaded tunics...

  and how about the elastic waist pants?
